  ESSENTIAL PLAYS-TO-SEE
Plays I have to see in the next 3 weeks include OUR LEADING LADY, SOME MEN, and ESSENTIAL SELF-DEFENSE. If anyone's got any discounts codes etc, feel free to send them.

In fact, I'll trade you. Here's one for Adam's Rapp's ESSENTIAL SELF-DEFENSE at Playwrightsy Horizons. Use code "EDBL" for $40 tickets either online, on the phone, or at the box office. And if you're under 30 years old, use code "EDGE" for $20 tickets, but be prepared to show ID at the box office (you may also want be prepared for the harsh reality of your 30's, which will be upon you sooner than you think). Both these codes must be used by March 28th.

Here's the thing. Adam Rapp's plays don't just go away. They come up in conversation like, all the time. And if you missed them, you're screwed. I wouldn't give up the experience of seeing NOCTURNE or RED LIGHT WINTER for anything, and I kick myself for missing BLACKBIRD. And now this one has Heather Goldenhersh (who we all agree shouldn't do Shakespeare, but we love her anyway), and Paul Sparks (does life get any better than Paul Sparks? (no it does not)), so I strongly encourage seeing this...and quickly I guess, cause the run is only 4.5 weeks long.

Comments:
i am v excited to see some men. not necessarily for the play but for my boyfriend pedro pascal. he's v good. incidentally (speaking of the play) it is a play with music? whoa. incidental or full out 11 o'clock numbers? ragtime for gays?

There are discount codes on Broadway Box for both OLL and Some Men.

This is me telling you what's worth your time and money in New York theatre. I'm not a critic. So don't read this for any kind of brilliant analysis. But I do critique the critics. I'm also fascinated by theatre marketing. And expect some gossipy posts too. I'm into that. Feel free to leave comments.
